Radical Acceptance as a skill and concept is my #1 tool in therapy and for myself in this healing profession and journey. For years I had been wanting to have a journaling group focused on this concept. But it’s a difficult topic for folks to focus on. I know. I get it. And, it’s the doorway to making it through our suffering and into the life we want to live.
I led this group in the month of October and each session was incredibly powerful. As a collective, we sat with our pain, honored it, listened to it, and even moved toward self-care and boundary actions. It was such a beautiful soul-led experience. Participants found avenues for freedom in their acceptance journeys.
I invite you to be in community while learning about how acceptance helps in reducing our suffering. I invite you to explore what acceptance looks like for you in your own powerful words and writing.
This group will be help over zoom for 1 hour. The hour goes by quickly.
A typical agenda goes as follows:
- Host led topic on Acceptance and one body regulating practice (10 min)
- Dedicated journaling time with 1-3 prompts provided by the host (35 min)
- Reflections and Weekly Self-Care intention (15 min)
This workshop is for you if you:
- Write as a way to self-express (or did in the past)
- Struggle with accepting the things (or people) you can’t change in your life.
- Ruminate regarding all the things that "should" or "should not" have happened.
- Have a hard time letting go.
- Feel stuck about how to move forward after experiencing something difficult.
- Want to live a life that is more aligned with you values.
- Want to create actions steps that align with the impact you want to make.
- Align with centering of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) experience. We discuss this as a certain pain point for it. (very important)
